The security service of Ukraine has arrested another collaborator in stabilization measures in liberated part of Kherson.
The figure turned out to be an official of the Kherson regional military administration.
During the temporary occupation of the city, he voluntarily agreed to join the “main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson region” created by the aggressor.
It is to be noted that, he was appointed as the “senior expert of department of accounting as well as financial & analytical examinations of expert forensic center.”
His “responsibilities” included the preparation of so-called “expertises on the financial activities of enterprises.”
According to the information shared by the SBU, “Expertises” were required for fabricating the cases against the patriotic owners of companies in Ukraine in the captured region.
It was revealed that during the time of his stay in the ranks of the occupation body, the Russian henchman went to Moscow for their “training courses”.
Following the liberation of the regional center, the person involved first “went to the bottom”, and later rejoined the local OVA.
However, SBU officers exposed the perpetrator, documented his criminal actions and detained him.
While doing the searches at his residence, the following was discovered:
▪️ printed laws, orders and instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on the organization of the preparation of forensic examinations in the expert and forensic units of the internal affairs bodies of Russia;
▪️ documents confirming his internship in Moscow.
Currently, the detainee has been notified of the suspicion under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborative activity, voluntary occupation by a citizen of Ukraine of a position in illegal law enforcement agencies created in the temporarily occupied territory).
The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention. An investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime. The perpetrator faces up to 15 years in prison.
Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in the Kherson region together with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.a
