The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit held meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar, Awad Abdullah. The meeting between the representatives of both the nations came following the courtesy call meeting.
During the meeting, representatives from both the nations along with their delegations held talks on major topics on concerns including the policies and strategies to boost the bilateral relations between the island nation of Dominica as well as the state of Qatar.
The information about the following has been shared by Prime Minister, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit via his official social media handle. Along with this, he has also provided details about the meeting with Awad Abdullah, adding that, “Earlier today, I received a courtesy call from Awad Abdullah, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar.”
At the same time, PM Skerrit, in the social media post, also mentioned that, “I welcomed him to Dominica, and we discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation between our two countries.”
It is to be mentioned that, PM Skerrit during the meeting with Qatar Ambassador, Awad Abdullah, held several talks on bolstering bilateral relations between both the nations. Notably, the meeting between representatives from both the nations likely to boost the number of opportunities for Dominica as well.
Notably, both the nations are currently working on boosting its sports sector, as Qatar was the host nation during the world famous FIFA World Cup 2022. At the same time, the Commonwealth of Dominica is also making significant investments into its sports sector. Similar instance could be seen from the ongoing Test Series matches going on between the India and West Indies in the Windsor Park Stadium, in Dominica.
So it is highly anticipated that, Dominica will likely to boost its foreign relations with the nations having policies alike Dominica, which will directly bear positive fruits for both the nations.
