The meeting will be held between Ukraine, Russia and all other countries included in the OSCE Vienna Document within 48 hours to discuss the military buildup of the troops of Russia across the borders of Ukraine, declared by the Dmytro Kuleba on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, named Dmytro Kuleba, asserted that Ukraine would assemble a meeting within 48 hours with Russia and all the countries included in the OSCE Vienna Document to discuss the military buildup of the forces of Russia across the borders of Ukraine and unrest between the countries.
While taken to social media, Dmytro Kuleba noted, “We have filed a request under the Vienna Document to Russia, but the country has not responded to it. So in that context, we have taken another step, and the government has requested to Russia for a meeting between the countries s and all other participating states in the document within 48 hours to discuss its support and also the military buildup of the Russian forces across the borders of Ukraine, and also the matter of the temporarily occupied Crimea”.
He further added that if Russia is really committed to its promise and other contracts in the security in the OSCE space, it must fulfil its commitment to military transparency so that tension or the de-escalations could be solved and enhance the security for all.
The minister also asserted that as per the Vienna Document, Russia has to provide all the detailed explanations on the various objectives, precise location and also the dates of completion of its military activities, which includes designation, subordination, number and types of formations and the other equipment involved”.
He further stressed that if the country would not respond within just 48 hours, then the country must ask it and the other countries included in the Vienna Document to host the extraordinary meeting.
