Ukraine on Thursday has sent almost 300 thousand tons of food and other 90 thousand tons of grain as a part of the separate initiative which is #GrainfromUkraine. The information about the following has been shared by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy via his official social media handle.
While taking it to his official social media handle, President Zelenskyy, noted that, “Within the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Ukraine has sent to Ethiopia almost 300 thousand tons of food and another 90 thousand tons of grain as part of a separate initiative #GrainfromUkraine.”
Along with this, President Zelenskyy has also ensured that Ukraine is still ready to remain a guarantor of the world food security. Moreover, President Zelenksyy has also extended interest in developing bilateral ties with Ethiopia in the spheres of security, digitization and others.
Noting to this, President Zelenskyy, added that, “Ukraine is still ready to remain a guarantor of world food security. He is also interested in developing bilateral relations with Ethiopia in the spheres of security, digitization and others.”
It is to be noted that, during the telephonic conversation with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, President Zelenskyy held talks on the Russia’s unilateral withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain initiative, illegal blockage of shipping, shelling of Ukraine’s port and energy infrastructure.
Considering which, President Zelenskyy, added that, “During the first ever bilateral telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali talked about Russia’s unilateral withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, illegal blockage of shipping, shelling of Ukraine’s port and energy infrastructure. Discussed preparations for the Global Peace Summit and invited the Prime Minister to visit Ukraine.”
At the same time, President Zelenskyy, added that, “It is necessary to create a platform for dialogue with African countries. The voice of Ethiopia, the African union, the whole of Africa is very important to us.”
