WorldRussiaSBU nabs another FSB agent for supplying information of Ukrainian forces

The Security Service of Ukraine has nabbed another Russian agent, who was working for the FSB in order to get an apartment in Crimea. The suspect has been slapped with 15 years of imprisonment period. The details about the following has been shared by the Security Service of Ukraine via their official social media handle.

As per the evidence base of the Security Service, another Russian agent who passed intelligence on the Defense Forces in the territory of Odesa to the FSB received a real prison term.

After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the attacker “leaked” the Russian military agencies with information about the training of the Ukrainian Navy in the Black Sea.

The details added that he also collected information about the combat training of the ground units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the training grounds of the southern region, in particular, the calculations of the Javelins.

In case of successful execution of the assigned tasks, the Russian agent hoped to receive from his curators an apartment in the occupied Crimea. According to available data, he was promised residential real estate worth 200,000 dollars.

SBU employees detained the attacker in Odesa region while he was carrying out intelligence activities in favor of the aggressor country.

According to the materials of the Ukrainian special service, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

As the investigators established, the enemy accomplice turned out to be a former military intelligence chemist who served in the headquarters of the Odesa Military District until the mid-1990s.

In 2010, he was recruited by the Russian special services and after several “test” tasks, they put him in “waiting mode” until the main instructions were received.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the court found the intruder guilty under Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason).

The investigation was conducted under the procedural leadership of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
