The Security Service of Ukraine on Tuesday has made new revelation about the new facts of the intelligence and subversive activities of the Russian agent group, which was neutralized by the SBU counterintelligence agents on May 9, 2023 in Zaporizhzhia.

The details of the following has been shared by the Security Service of Ukraine via their official social media handle. The details added that, “At that time, two agents of the Russian Federation with the operational pseudonyms “Voron” and “Docent” were detained, who were preparing terrorist attacks against the Command and special forces of the Defense Forces on the southern front.”

Moreover, the SBU has recordings of the conversations of these figures, where they discuss the preparation of a series of explosions in the places of deployment of units of the Armed Forces, the Security Service and the National Police.

As it became known, the FSB planned to send a “parcel” containing 10 kg of plastid to its agents in order to commit terrorist attacks.

In addition, the attackers were preparing a targeted missile attack on a rolling stock with military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at one of the railway junctions in the region.

The SBU has further reminded that the investigators of the Security Service informed both detainees about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28 and Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law by a prior conspiracy by a group of persons).

The details added that, they are now in custody. An investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime. The perpetrators face life imprisonment.

Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in Zaporizhzhia region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.
