On Friday, January 28, 2022, a total of 98,040 people were exposed to the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours in Russia as per the report of the anti-coronavirus centre.

With the emergence of the new cases, the total number of confirmed cases due to the infection related to SARS-CoV-19 has reached 11,502,657.

The new cases of the COVID-19 virus have further brought the growth rate of the infection to 0.86 per cent in relative terms.

As per the status of the admissions of the patients due to the novel coronavirus, a total of 14,046 people have been admitted to the hospital over the past 24 hours in the country. It is more than a day earlier. Moreover, the number of admission of people infected with the COVID-19 virus has increased in 60 regions.

On the other hand, a total of 23 regions has witnessed a decrement in the number of patients admitted to the hospital facilities, as per the coronavirus centre.

According to the status of the deaths related to the COVID-19 infections, Russia has recorded that a total of 673 people have lost their lives due to the infection of the novel coronavirus. On the other hand, on the previous day, the total number of deaths related to the COVID-19 pandemic was 655. It shows that the fatality rate in the country has recorded a surge over the past 24 hours.

With the emergence of the death resulting from the novel coronavirus, the total number of fatalities has further increased and touched the mark of 329,443 since the pandemic has outbreak in the country.

As per the crisis centre, the average mortality rate due to the deaths related to the COVID-19 virus has remained at 2.86 per cent.

As per the status of the recoveries, a total of 29,506 patients have been recovered from the deadly virus over the past 24 hours, and with the new recoveries, the toll of the recoveries have been reached 10,159,197.

The number of patients who are still under the treatment of the COVID-19 virus has further reached 1,014,017.
