On Thursday, January 27, 2022, a World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Russia, Melita Vujnovic has informed that they would be recognized for the Russian made vaccine called Sputnik V this year.

While explaining about the conduction of vaccine by WHO, representative Vujnovic asserted,” World Health Organisation has made the list of vaccine which be recognized, and in the list, a total of ten vaccines have been included that could be used for the emergency purpose”.

She further explained,” The emergency purpose means any drug that could be used in the public health emergency, such as the situation made by the pandemic of COVID-19. Moreover, in the pending list of the WHO, the sixteen candidates are present, including the Russian produced vaccine called Sputnik V”.

Melita Vujnovic emphasized the procedure of inclusion in the list and stated,” There is a procedure to be followed to be included on the list, and the necessary package of documents should also be assembled”.

While asserting about the documents,” The records are not just for formality but also shows the effectiveness of the vaccine, and moreover, it also depicts the overall technical documents. The documents which approve the registration of a drug in the WHO that primarily includes five extensive modules”.

Vujnovic further pointed out,” The things are going to as per the planned, and we really wished the plans will help us out and allow us to come to the end of the process this year.

She also informed that Russia has applied for the registration of the vaccine called Sputnik V for the representation of the World Health Organisation.

Moreover, as per the various studies, primarily Russia-Isreal based study, also shows the effectiveness of the Russian Made vaccine called Sputnik V against the Omicron variant. Russia also claimed that Sputbnik V is more effective against the COVID-19 variant called Omicron than any other vaccine present across the world.
