Amid the Ukraine unrest, Russia and the United States have come face-to-face in the UN Security Council on Monday, January 31, 2022. They have faced the sparred over the tension between Ukraine and Russia on which Washington has issued a warning to Moscow and asserted that if Moscow tried to invade the country called Ukraine.
Moreover, the United States has issued a warning to Russia if they escalate their military forces to Ukraine, then they have to pay for it. It also warned of “horrific war” as Russia continuously doing invasion.
Further, the ambassador of the United States at the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, asserted that the invasion of Russia would threaten global security as the situation is becoming dangerous in the country and also warned of horrific consequences if Russia attacks Ukraine.
Moreover, the troops from the Russian military has been deployed near the borders of the country with Ukraine, which led to the diplomatic crisis. The countries such as the US and Europe have feared and warned the globe. Russia is doing plannings for an imminent invasion and the war. However, Moscow has denied all allegations and said they are nothing planning like that.
Russia also asserted that US and NATO are using Ukraine for regional and international interests. Ukraine is just a tool for the United States and NATO alliance.
President Putin also emphasised that NATO has bluntly ignored their fundamental concern of the security of Europe. The country is against the expansion of Ukraine into NATO and also demanding security guarantees across the borders.
As per the Russian diplomats,” the country has constantly denied the allegation imposed by Ukraine, the United States and NATO. We are not planning anything but the invasion into Ukraine, but primary concerns have not been fulfilled by NATO. NATO has bever stick to its promise”.
