The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, has extended his congratulations to the St Kitts and Nevis Special Olympics team, who had represented St Kitts and Nevis team during the Special Olympics that has taken place in Berlin in 2023. The Olympians returned to the island nation following their remarkable performance that they delivered.
The team has made a return to St Kitts and Nevis following a successful performance and several medals in multiple categories and sports. PM Drew took it to his official social media handle to extend his pride and excitement on the achievement of the athletes. He extended that the Olympian team has made the country with their performance and brought significant achievements to the nation.
Noting to their key role in growth of the sports sector, the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Ageing and Disabilities hosted the event to welcome the Olympians back to the nation following their successful play during the Berlin Special Olympics. Moreover, PM Drew shared his excitement about taking part in the young athletes’ welcome-back ceremony.
PM Drew took it to his official social media handle to urge people of the nation to help them giving the athletes a Heroes Welcome. PM Drew added that the entire nation is proud of the Olympians, adding that, “We are proud of you. Job well done! You truly delivered.” The ministry of youth affairs hosted the event in honour of the Olympians at the end of their stint in Berlin. The event was hosted at Robert L Bradshaw International Airport on June 28, 2023.
