The stadium would be used as a venue for the matches of St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association Premier League Football. The vision behind this construction is to make this stadium a place where residents of the village can come together and extend support to their favourite football teams and conduct several activities.

While sharing glimpses of the groundbreaking ceremony, PM Drew took to his official Facebook account and said “For many years the people of Conaree have been calling for a sporting facility to be built in their area. I made the commitment that it would be done if given the chance to represent them.”

Additionally, the stadium will provide several facilities, proving comfort to differently-abled people. It will be outfitted with bathroom amenities, changing rooms, bleachers, a media centre commentator’s booth and bars. All these facilities will serve as a catalyst for promoting greater community spirit among the residents through sports activities.

While shedding light on the stadium in Conaree, PM Drew stated that Football is a powerhouse and Conaree is a small community which does not have a stadium and that is why, it was not included for the home and away games.

Following the construction of the place, it can be included in the next football season’s fixture where premier league games took place.

Moreover, the leader of the nation also acknowledged the tiring efforts of the community-based teams to engage youth towards sports and elevate the nation’s sporting sector.
