The viral disease caused by the novel coronavirus has surpassed the threshold of 400 million over the past 24 hours across the world, as per the report given by Johns Hopkins University based in the United States.

As per the statistics given by the University (which have calculated its won statistics, it further based on the data from the international organization, federal and local authorities) of the viral infection caused by the COVID-19 virus stated that a total of 400,244,031 people have been exposed to the viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus worldwide since the pandemic has emerged across the globe.

As per the status of the fatalities, a total of 5,761,208 people have lost their lives to the viral infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2  across the globe since the pandemic has emerged worldwide.

Moreover, on January 7, 2022, the world has exceeded the sad milestone of 300 million cases of viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus, as per the data provided by the University, which shows that within just one month, the people have been infected to the deadly viral infection and crossed the threshold of 400 million cases.

Further, as per the status of the countries that have registered significant cases of the novel coronavirus and caused large infection across the world, the United States would top the chart as since the pandemic has emerged in the country, a total of 15,149,517 people have been exposed to the viral infection of the novel coronavirus.

It is followed by France, which recorded a total of 8,623,947 infections due to the novel coronavirus. On the other hand, India is in the third position in the chart as it has recorded a total of 6,463,821 viral infections caused by the SARS-CoV-2 so far.

As per the status of the coronavirus in Russia, a total of 13,147,666 people have been exposed to the viral infection of the novel coronavirus since the pandemic has emerged in the country.
