The Security Service of Ukraine has gathered evidence of the subversive activities of the pro-Russian blogger Serhii Lebedev (better known under the pseudonym “Lokhmatiy”), who is hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied parts of Donetsk.
It is to be mentioned that, on the instructions of the Russian special service, he was involved in the formation of an informant network in various regions of Ukraine.
The details of the following were shared by the Security Service of Ukraine via their official social media handle, adding that, “To do this, he created a pro-Kremlin Telegram channel with a total audience of over 30,000 users.”
The attacker was looking for informants from among the subscribers of his channel. He collected information about the bases of the Defense Forces, as well as the locations of the critical and social infrastructure of our state.
It is added that one of these supporters of racism gave Lebedev the coordinates of a residential high-rise in Mykolaiv, which the aggressor hit with S-300 missiles in the fall of 2022.
Then, as a result of shelling, 7 civilians died, including a minor child.
“Lokhmaty” also enlisted the secret cooperation of a resident of Transcarpathia, who “leaked” the location of military units in the region to the blogger.
In addition, Lebedev repeatedly participated in the preparation of commissioned stories from the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine for RosTV.
In his materials, he discredited the higher military and political leadership of Ukraine and supported Moscow’s aggressive policy.
On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service notified the intruder of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
▪️ Part 2 Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law);
▪️ Part 5 Art. 27, Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 2 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war).
Since the person involved is hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied part of eastern Ukraine, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice.
The investigation was conducted by SBU employees in Zakarpattia and Mykolaiv regions under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.
