The security service exposed another Russian informer during the counter-subversive measures in Sumy Oblast.
The stuntwoman turned out to be a resident of the border town of Glukhiv. It transmitted to the FSB the locations, approximate number and available weapons of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are involved in the defense of the northern borders of Ukraine.
The woman also “leaked” information about the consequences of Russian shelling, primarily the coordinates of the destroyed buildings of the local infrastructure.
Invaders needed such information to prepare new and adjust repeated enemy attacks using artillery, mortars and kamikaze drones.
Counterintelligence officers of the SBU detained the attacker while trying to pass intelligence to the Russian special services.
According to the investigation, the suspect maintained communication with the occupiers through her relative, a citizen of the Russian Federation, who lives in Russia and has been cooperating with the FSB for a long time.
During the search of the detainee’s place of residence, computer equipment and mobile phones were found, which she used to take photos of Ukrainian objects and transmit this information to the Russian Federation.
So far, the investigators of the Security Service have informed the accused about the suspicion.
The court chose a preventive measure for her in the form of detention. The perpetrator faces up to 8 years in prison.
Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in the Sumy region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.
