The security service exposed another Russian collaborator as a result of stabilization measures in the liberated territories of Donetsk region.
The former master of gas distribution networks in Liman turned out to be an accomplice of the Russian Federation. During the temporary occupation of the city, he supported the Russian invaders and cooperated with them.
As per the details shared by the Security Service of Ukraine, “For this, he was appointed the head of the local “branch of the Donbasgas DNR” created by the aggressor.”
After his “appointment”, he immediately began organizing the heating of the captured buildings, where the occupation groups of the Russian Federation were “quartered”.
At the same time, he completely left the homes of local residents without heat supply.
After the liberation of Lyman, the attacker tried to escape from the city to the temporarily occupied Yenakievo. However, SBU employees promptly exposed and detained him.
So far, the investigators of the Security Service have informed the suspect of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborative activity).
The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved. An investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in Donetsk and Luhansk regions together with the State Border Service under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office.
