Russian officials are ‘actively discussing’ about Putin’s replacement: Reports

WorldRussiaRussian officials are 'actively discussing' about Putin's replacement: Reports
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin will not remain the President until the finish of the ongoing war in Ukraine and talks about his replacement are already going on in between officials. The following announcement has been made by Ukraine’s Chief of Defence intelligence, according to reports.
Major General Kyrylo Budanov has made a claim that officials in Russia are “actively discussing” about removing Vladimir Putin from power, as per reports.
The following statement comes amid a counteroffensive by Kyiv to take back Kherson, a main port city, that has been under control of Russian army since the early days of the invasion.
Major general Kyrylo Budanov said, “It’s unlikely that Putin survives it & currently, there are active talks happening in Moscow about who’d be there to replace him.”
Furthermore, Major general Budanov stated that Ukraine aims to recapture Kherson by the November-end as well as would even try to take back Crimea, which was earlier annexed by Russia in 2014.
He further added that, “Ukraine could potentially consider to be a finish point to the war.”
From the time since Moscow army suffered significant losses in September, Vladimir Putin has doubled down, calling up over hundreds of thousands of reservists, announcing about the annexation of occupied region as well as repeatedly intimidating to use of nuclear weapons.
Recent missile and drone strikes have knocked out more than 40 per cent of Ukraine’s power-generating capabilities, leading to energy rationing and blackouts throughout the nation. They signal the beginning of what could be a cold, dark winter in Ukraine as war rages on.
