Amid the unrest between Russia and Ukraine, Europe has faced many difficulties as the situation poses a significant threat and danger in speculation of the war with the range of conflicts. On Friday, February 4, 2022, the President of the European Commission named Ursula von der Leyen asserted that there were fewer chances that Russia would terminate their gas supplies to the European Union.
He explained that the reason behind this is that Gazprom is meeting all the obligations stated in the contract, so it is tough for Russia to cut off the supply of gas products.
The gas supply of Russia to the European Countries is not necessarily cut off as long as the company based on Gazprom have met the obligations.
But they have asked what would happen if Russia intensified its aggressive behaviours against Ukraine as Europe is also facing many threats in the situation with Les Echos and Handelsblatt.
Further, Russia is facing huge criticism for trying to invade Ukraine. The countries such as most of Europe, a Western country such as the United States and NATO allies would have stood against Russia, and they are warning Russia.
Moreover, the country would have faced huge warnings from the countries such as the United Kingdom. It stated that if the country tries to invade Ukraine that unprecedented sanctions would be imposed against Russia that would further affect the elites of the country as it will reduce the country from making any international transactions.
The SWIFT also warned the country that they would reduce the country from the international transactions as they would also get cut off from Europe.
On the other hand, the country has also warned Europe if they tried to lift the country from SWIFT, then the possible supply of gas and oil products would be cut off by the country, and the country would never supply any products of the gas and oil to the Europea countries.
