President of Russia Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron have discussed various security concerns regarding Ukraine, Europe or France and also talked about how they could effectively resolve it; Russian President Putin has informed about his meeting with Macron on Monday, February 7, 2022.
On Monday, President of France Emmanuel Macron has visited Moscow and met with Russian President Putin. There was great speculation that Macron could become the ladder between the resolution of the issues between Russia and Ukraine.
Russian President Putin has given a brief description of his meeting with his counterpart and exclaimed that the leaders had discussed the current security scenarios in Europe and asserted that it is a great matter of concern for Moscow and Paris.
While stressing upon the various major security issues, President Putin emphasized,” We both the leaders have discussed multiple concerns on the different spheres of security in Europe”.
In the talks between both the counterparts, Putin told Macron,” I am very thankful to you and for the fact that France always very actively participated in the process of making the principled solutions in this area”.
He further asserted that France is doing a great job and with his unique approach in the matter could lead the very modern relations between both the countries and this is the result that we have met today and made a basic document which includes the Treaty on Special Relations between both the countries such as Russia and France as it was signed thirty years ago”.
President Putin further mentioned,” Over many years, the country France has been taken the initiative and actively participate in the resolution core issues of the security of the European citizens and it was exactly the same that our predecessors have done when Georgia has attacked South Ossetian, and he further stressed there is need to work on the Minsk agreements and the organizations of the Normandy format.
