The authorities of Poland are planning and are executing plans to build a temporary barrier on its 120 kilometres long (which is 130 miles) border with Russia’s exclave of Kaliningrad to empower its security. The following announcement has been made by the Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.
The decision comes after the reports came that the airport in Kaliningrad began accepting flights from the region of North Africa & the Middle East, he said while addressing a press conference in Wisztyniec, Poland.
The barrier will consist of three (3) lines of concertina wire as well as the work will start as early as Wednesday, Blaszczak said during an address.
Moreover, Poland has also built a wall earlier this year along its border with Belarus after it has put the blame on the Kremlin for masterminding the artificial flow of thousands of people from nations including Syria, Iraq as well as Afghanistan in later 2021.
The surge was designed to destabilize Poland and prevent it from supporting Ukraine. according to Balaszczak.
