The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, on Tuesday held meeting with the Prime Minister of South Korea, Han Duck Soo on the sidelines of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Heads of the Government Meeting.
It is to be specifically mentioned that, PM Skerrit was accompanied by the Foreign Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Vince Henderson. The following meeting between the Prime Minister and delegation of the Commonwealth of Dominica as well as the Prime Minister of South Korea took place in Trinidad and Tobago.
Noting to this, Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit took it to his official social media handle to share the glimpses and details of the meeting with South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck Soo. While sharing the information, PM Skerrit added that, “Prime Minister, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit held cordial discussions on Tuesday with Prime Minister, Han Duck Soo of South Korea on the sidelines of the CARICOM Heads of Government meeting in Trinidad. Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Vince Henderson participated in the talks.”
It is not the first meeting between the leaders of both the nation, as the government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, in the past several months held a lot of meetings with the South Korean delegations. Not just limited to this, the governments of both the nations have also signed several pacts in order to boost the bilateral ties between the Commonwealth of Dominica and South Korea.
Moreover, it is also key policy of the government of Commonwealth of Dominica to uphold the ties with the foreign nations. As it also plays a significant role in bringing overall growth for the nation.
It is also to be specifically mentioned that, like its Eastern Caribbean neighbours, the main priority of the foreign relations of Dominica is economic development and to achieve this benchmark, the government of Dominica is working on maintaining good ties with the foreign nations.
