The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew on Tuesday has extended congratulations to the several people of the nation, who were honored with the Companion of the Star of Merit and Medal Honour, in the prestigious Investiture Ceremony for celebrating their exceptional contributions to the nation-building.

It is to be noted that, around 19 people of St Kitts and Nevis were invested with the 2022 National Honours Awards for their exceptional service and contributions to the development of the nation at an investiture ceremony that was held by the Governor General, Dame Marcella Liburd on Tuesday, at the Government House.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew have extended congratulations to the recipients, noting that their contributions would leave a lasting positive impression on many lives.

He further took it to his official social media handle to share the glimpses of the following, adding that, “Today several patriots were honoured with a Companion of the Star of Merit and Medal of Honour, in a prestigious Investiture Ceremony to celebrate their exceptional contributions to nation-building.”

“Both levels of acknowledgement represent the highest levels of recognition acknowledging your exemplary accomplishments, exceptional service, and positive influence on society,” says PM Drew

At the same time, PM Drew noted that, “To all our honourees, with great pride and admiration, I extend heartfelt congratulations on receiving this esteemed recognition. To receive acknowledgment for your dedication to serving your country and people on this level is indeed a distinguished honour.”

“As I am looking across at all of the awardees and honourees today, I can say that each of you would have had an impact on my life and I can only imagine the lives that you would have touched in St Kitts and Nevis. I can almost give a detail about each of you and that says a lot- it mean that you have contributed in a significant way,” says PM Drew.

Prime Minister Dr. Drew said that the diversity among the group is quite notable.

“Gender, age, area of specialization, are of origin in St. Kitts and Nevis and varying physical abilities are all considerable. I am sure there are more differences – maybe religion, politics – but the common themes that run through all of you are the themes of selflessness, service to others and country and the willingness to sacrifice for the greater good,” said Prime minister Drew. “This tells us a story that it doesn’t matter any difference that you may have, that your contribution is needed for nation-building.”
