“We are for peace, but we accept the challenge of the enemy. We will protect our motherland”, the famous quote by Petro Poroshenko suits well with the love and respect shown by Ukrainians towards their motherland.
From putting in all kinds of efforts to protect their nation from invading forces of Russia, Ukrainians are trying their best to guard the borders of Ukraine.
Apropos to this, the Advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, Anton Gerashchenko, took it to his official Twitter to share a similar example of how a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl Oksana cut her 70 cm of beautiful hair to sell it and buy a tactical helmet for troops fighting in Bakhmut.
Along with the video of Oksana, Adviser said, “She has definitely saved someone’s life. Ukrainian children are wonderful.”

In the video, it has been clearly shown, “A 9-year-old girl Oksana from Pryluky, has cut off her ginger colour hairs in order to buy a tactical helmet for soldiers fighting in the Bakhmut area.”
Meanwhile, Daria, the mother of Oksana, said that, she spend over 20 minutes regularly to braid hairs of Oksana. In the video, Daria said that, “My mother really liked the fishbone style. I still like it. For some time, we will not braid her hairs that way.”
Notably, Oksana never cut off her hair. It is her first time that she is really cutting off her hair, as she said that her mom only used to cut her bangs earlier.
Following the haircut, Oksana said that, “I am not scared, new hair will grow out. I want to help our warriors to win and faster return to their homes. In this way, I am helping Ukraine.”
At the same time, the mother of Oksana said that, “For me, as her mom, it was very hard to agree with cutting her hair. She has been asking me for almost 2 months. We thought about, whether she would be sorry about it. We agreed that if the kid really wants it, we should agree with her pleas.”
The video further revealed that the volunteer sold the 70cm long and 112 g in weight braid for Hr 5,300.
Moreover, one of the volunteers at Vilna Kraina charity foundation, Anton Kopasov said that, “The bright example is like this bright hair, the kid will 100% save somebody’s life.”
The mother of Oksana said that, “Once I start thinking that her hair will save some soldier’s live, especially somewhere near Bakhmut, I feel very proud of my daughter.”
