Russia and its allies have sent their troops to Kazakhstan at the request of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to counter the violence in the country on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Since the government has increased the fuel price on the festive occasion of the new year, the protest has been ravaged in the Central Asian Country. On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, was the starting day of the protest.

Further, the protest has been escalated into violence as the protesters clashed with the police and burnt some government buildings.

On Thursday, the President has appealed to Russia and underscored,” Today I urged to the heads of Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) states to help Kazakhstan to counter this terrorist threat.

He further refers that integrity oft is not a threat and noted,” it is undermining the integrity of the country.

Tokayev has imposed the State of Emergency in the country and asserted that the terrorist groups are making the situation worst in the country, and ordinary people are suffering a lot due to the violence.

In the country’s big-city named Almaty, protesters have seized five plans in the airport.

Further, President informed,” they have blocked the buildings and infrastructure of the country. Moreover, they have also seized the premises where small arms are located”.

According to the latest report of police officials, the security forces of the country have killed dozens of protestors as the President have ordered to put down the demonstrations, and forces are free to take action against them.

Banks and other government services are closed, and people are not coming out of their homes. In addition to that, internet access to many places has also been stopped across the country.

Moreover, Russian troops are coming into the country at the request of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
