‘Ghost of Kyiv’, a Ukrainian fight pilot who was learned to have shot down nearly 40 Russian fighter jets have been killed and died in battle, as per reports. The Ukrainian pilot who earned fame for his bravery in the wake of the Russia’s full-scale operation in Ukraine, which started on February 24 this year.
The identity of the ‘Ghost of Kyiv’ has also been disclosed in the report.
Media reports said that Major Stepan Tarabalka’s fighter jet was shot down on March 13 when he was tackling an overwhelming number of enemy forces. Major Tarabalka’s goggles and helmet are now going to be auctioned.
While emphasising the bravery of Major Traabalka, an official of the Ukraine government tweeted that, “People call him the Ghost of Kyiv. And rightly so, this UAF ace dominates the sky over our capital and nation, and has already has become a nightmare for invading Russian aircraft.”
Major Tarabalka was declared to have shot down six(6) Russian fighter jets on the first day of the war.
As per reports, Stepan Tarabalka was born in Korolivka, a small village in the Western region of Ukraine, and He hailed from a working class family. It has been his dream to become a fighter pilot since his childhood.
