The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, on Thursday, has taken part in one to one interview on the Issues SKN show. During the show, Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew, has held talks on major issues ongoing across the island nation of St Kitts and Nevis, along with the completion of one year, as well as the government’s policies.
At the very beginning of the interview, Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew, started by expressing condolences to the family members of the former St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party Member, Rudolph Morton. Noting to which, PM Drew said that, “His contributions will never ever be forgotten.”
While adding on the completion of the first year, Prime Minister, Drew added that, “The first year I would say was challenging. I expect this to be challenging. It cannot be anything else. But challenging. The question becomes how do you deal with that challenge in making sure that you get Saint Kitts and Nevis on a path of growth and development and responding positively to what are the needs of the people.”
He said that, “Good governance was established. It is extremely critical to establish that. Without a good governance structure, you really don’t have the opportunity to fulfil what you want, to fulfil. This year has been the steepest learning curve that I’ve experienced in my whole life. But I think I was prepared for the psychological challenge, the mental challenge, the physical challenge. Because I’ve been around politics for a long time.”
During the interview, Prime Minister Drew mentioned that, he wanted to let people tell him about the changes that they have experienced within the nation after PM Drew-led administration takes over the chair.
