The Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Melissa Poponne Skerrit has made an announcement for the sports enthusiasts across the capital city on Wednesday. While making the announcement, Minister Skerrit extended invitation to the children and sports enthusiasts across the capital city of Roseau to get themselves registered for getting free lessons and coaching for the game of Tennis.
The Tennis classes, which are going to begin from the April 26, 2023 will be a great opportunity for children especially who are interested in learning sports.
Minister Melissa Poponne Skerrit has took it to her official social media handle to share the details of the Tennis classes. Along with this, she also shared the official invitation through her personal social media handle. While making the announcement, she added that, “Children of the city, let’s have some fun in the sun. Come register today to secure your spot!! Learn from a professional and have some fun! Parents call asap! Spots are limited!”
It is to be specifically mentioned that in the post, she has also mentioned about the starting dates as well as venue for the lessons. Notably, the entire classes will charge almost no cost from anybody.
Moreover, the Tennis classes will begin from the April 26, 2023. As per the announcement made by the Minister Melissa Skerrit, the learning classes will be on Wednesdays at 4:30 PM along with the Saturdays at 10 AM in the morning at the Stadium Forecourt.
As per the announcement, the age group that will be benefitted under this scheme of the government are between the 7 years old to 15 years old age groups.
It will also be beneficial to the kids that are going to take part in this learning session as they will be going to learn directly from the national Lawn Tennis player of Dominica, Coach Karlvin Norris.
Noting to the post shared by Minister Melissa Skerrit, the sports enthusiasts between the age group of 7-15 years old are asked to register themselves at the Roseau Constituency Office. Moreover, they have also released a calling number for their convenience, 440-4042.
