Russia on Monday has stormed cruise missiles on busy Ukrainian cities in what the US called “horrific strikes”, killing civilians & knocking out power as well as heat with its most widespread air attacks since the beginning of the war.
Missiles have stormed into transactions, parks, as well as tourist sites in the capital city of Kyiv and blasts, were reported in Lviv, Ternopil along with Zhytomyr in the western region of Ukraine, Dnipro as well as Kremenchuk in the centre, Zaporizhzhia in the south & Kharkiv in the east.
The officials of Ukraine said that at least 11 people were killed as well as scores injured & suspended electricity exports to Europe while it tried to finish blackouts across the nation.
Meanwhile, thousands of residents raced to bomb shelters as air raid sirens rang throughout the day. The barrage of dozens of cruise missiles which were fired from air, land and sea was the biggest wave of air strikes to hit away from the front line, at least since the early volleys on the war’s first day February 24, 2022.
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin said he had ordered “massive” long-range strikes after an attack on the bridge linking Russia to the annexed Crimean peninsula over the weekend, and threatened more strikes in future if Ukraine hits Russian territory.
