“From the Atlantic to the eastern border of Ukraine, we see united principles at the basis of organization of public life, at the basis of administration of countries, at the basis for interaction between state and communities,” was the statement made by the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
It is to be noted that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made the above mentioned statement during the address to the Committee on the European Union Regions. In the address, President Zelenskyy added that, “From the Atlantic to the eastern border of Ukraine, we see united principles at the basis of organization of public life, at the basis of administration of countries, at the basis for interaction between state and communities.”
He further added that, “Democracy and respect for the individual. Equality between people and communities. Respect for the other and strength in the unity of different. All this is our Europe, all this is us, and all this is what not to be found in our common enemy. We have to keep this in mind.”
At the same time, President Zelenskyy mentioned that, “We are fighting now not only for the fate of one of our countries, not only for the share of the eastern flank of Europe – but for the share of all Europe, which it should remain. To be left behind with us.”
Notably, during the address to the Committee of the EU Regions, President Zelenskyy invited its members to cooperate at all levels with the Congress of local and regional authorities of Ukraine. Join the work with offices of international cooperation created for more active reconstruction work in Ukraine.
It is to be mentioned that, President Zelenskyy, while concluding his statement added that, “And, in fact, to visit our country is to visit that part of our Europe where the fate of our Europe is now being decided.”
