The Security Service prevented new attempts by the Russian special services to destabilize the socio-political situation in Ukraine in wartime conditions.
As a result of the special operation, underground cells of the so-called “Communist Party of the Soviet Union” were neutralized in Kyiv and six other regions of our country.
This is a Russian organization controlled by the FSB, which actively participates in subversive activities against Ukraine.
After the full-scale invasion, the organizers of the union tried to create an extensive network of their own “regional committees” in our country.
Their “activists” were supposed to call for mass support of the Russian occupiers and set up “commandant’s offices” to collect intelligence and prepare enemy sabotage.
Local residents, including former and active soldiers who started their service during the Soviet Union, were campaigned to join their own cells.
It has been established that the pro-Kremlin organization is headed by Yury Shchipkov, the head of the “Central Committee of the Bolsheviks”, who is in Moscow.
It was on his instructions that underground “branches” of the association were created in Kyiv, as well as in the Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Vinnytsia, and Chernihiv regions.
Russian Federation involved more than 45 people in their operation, who used their own homes for conspiratorial meetings of the enemy underground and planning subversive activities.
Instructions for carrying out criminal actions were received directly from the head of the Moscow “tsk” through a specially created anonymous Telegram channel.
Because of the prompt intervention of the SBU, none of the Russia’s plans for subversive activities was implemented.
During searches of the places of residence of the accused, law enforcement officers discovered the following:
▪️ Russian passports;
▪️ unregistered weapons and ammunition;
▪️ mobile phones with evidence of correspondence with the Russian “curator”;
▪️ pro-Kremlin propaganda materials.
According to the SBU materials, one of the organizers of the association was notified of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
▪️ Art. 109 (distribution of materials with public calls for the violent seizure of state power);
▪️ Art. 436 (public appeals for the resolution of the military conflict).
Investigations are ongoing to hold others involved accountable.
Measures to expose the crime were carried out under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
