The Security Service of Ukraine have reported the suspicion to the owner of a construction holding in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia, which manufactures the fortifications and repairs roads for the Russian Federation. The details about the above mentioned has been shared by the Security Service of Ukraine via their official social media handle.
While sharing the details about the above mentioned, the SBU noted that, “The local businessman Ihor Skorobogatko, who, after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, supported the Russian invaders and offered them his help in the war against Ukraine. In October 2022, the person involved received a large-scale contract from the occupiers for the production of more than 1,000 anti-tank barriers, known as dragon’s teeth.”
The invaders set up such pyramidal concrete obstacles along their own defense lines in order to deter the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces on the southern front.
According to the investigation, Skorobogatko is part of the close circle of Gauleiter Balytskyi, who contributed to his appointment to the position of the head of the captured Melitopol Asphalt Concrete Plant.
The details shared added that, “In the summer of 2022, he began the reconstruction of the Melitopol-Berdyansk highway at the facilities of his plant. The occupiers use this road transport to transfer personnel and military equipment across the territory of the region, as well as to Crimea and back.”
On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the suspect of suspicion under Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation was conducted by SBU employees in the Zaporizhzhia region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.
