The Security Service of Ukraine has eliminated 7 more mobilization evasion schemes that has operated in the different regions of Ukraine. The details about the above mentioned has been shared by the Security Service of Ukraine via their official social media handle.
During the operational measures, the organizers of the events, including officials of military commissariats and an employee of the military medical commission, were arrested red-handed.
The details shared by the SBU, added that, “For money, the perpetrators helped conscripts to avoid conscription and leave Ukraine on the basis of forged documents or to bypass checkpoints. The cost of such “services” ranged from 500 to 8,500 US dollars. The amount depended on the urgency and method of escape abroad.”
Two citizens of one of the countries of the South Caucasus were detained, who were selling fake documents about the parentage of many children or volunteering.
The evaders used the purchased fakes to further travel outside of Ukraine.
The suspects also took their clients abroad through pre-prepared forest paths in Transcarpathia.
In Lviv Oblast:
Military counter-intelligence officers detained an official of the recruiting and staffing department of the district military committee, who demanded 17 thousand US dollars from two employees of a local enterprise.
For this amount, the defendant promised both men to issue documents on their unfitness for military service.
In Ivano-Frankivsk region:
The head of one of the district military committees was detained. For bribes, he de-registered local men from the military register based on their health status.
The secretary of the district military medical commission, who was selling fictitious certificates about the presence of severe diseases, was informed of the suspicion. He involved his colleague, the VLK doctor, in illegal activities.
The details added that thus, every week the perpetrators “released from mobilization” more than 20 people, who then tried to escape abroad.
In Kirovohrad Oblast:
An official of one of the district military committees was detained, who, in collusion with members of the VLK, falsified medical reports and sold them to conscripts.
Investigations are ongoing for all the revealed facts to establish all the circumstances of the crimes and bring the culprits to justice.
