A group of over dozens of Russian nationals protested outside the Russian embassy in Uccle on Saturday. The group was protesting against what it called “Russian terroris”, namely the war in Ukraine and recent attacks on non-military targets.
Initiator of the Russian Solidarity in Belgium group, Denis Kutuzov said, “We are protesting against the Russian terrorist actions in Ukraine. We demand the immediate withdrawal of the army. We want an end to the killing of Ukrainian and Russian people.”
The demonstrators called for the immediate end to armed hostilities and a return to the negotiating table.
“Ukraine’s right to self-determination must be respected,” he said. “It is important,” he said that voices like his are heard. “We are doing what we can to make our voices heard. Not everyone supports this criminal war.”
