The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on Saturday has shared a gratitude message over his official social media handle. In the message, President Zelenskyy has extended gratitude to each and every Ukrainian, who are or were part of the ongoing battle.

In the message, he has highlighted that the independence of Ukraine is not something abstract. While extending thanks to defence forces and warriors of Ukraine, Prez Zelenskyy added that, “We should all remember that our defense, our active actions, and the independence of Ukraine are not something abstract. These are very particular people, particular actions of special heroes, thanks to which Ukraine exists and Ukraine will exist. Thousands and thousands of our strongest, bravest, most accurate people…”

Along with this, Prez Zelenskyy thanked everyone who is currently fighting for the victory of Ukraine along with those, who are currently on the combat positions adding that, “Thank you to everyone who is fighting for Ukraine! Thank you to everyone who is on combat posts and on combat missions! Thank you to everyone who constantly trains our soldiers and everyone who provides treatment to our heroes after their injuries!”

At the same time, President Zelenskyy asked everyone to thank Ukrainian soldiers in person as well and to appreciate the work that they are doing to safeguard their motherland against the invading forces. Noting to which, he added that, “And I am asking you all: please don’t forget to thank our warriors in person. Thank those whom you know personally. Thank those whom you may simply follow in social networks. Thank those whom you just heard about – and can tell other people about them. Gratitude is always important, and it’s important to hear words of gratitude when you fight for your people like this.”
