The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, on Friday paid a visit at the JNF Hospital. During the visit, PM Drew held meeting with Emergency Medical Technicians who have stepped onto their second phase of the EMS training course earlier this week.
It is to be noted that, during the meeting with the Emergency Medical Technicians, PM Drew shared a word with the technicians, along with encouraging them for the future.
Along with this, PM Drew, also shared the glimpses of the meeting with the Emergency Medical Technicians, adding that, “Decided to stop by JNF this morning to visit our Emergency Medical Technicians who began the second phase of the EMS training course earlier this week, to share a few words of encouragement.
Notably, the Emergency Medical Technicians are currently working and are gaining significant skills for improving their CPR skills, enhancing their patient evacuation skills from the scene of accident or either injury as well as are receiving education on the life saving techniques before getting the patient to the hospital.
The following details has been released by Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew via his social media post, adding that, “The EMTs are gaining important skills training to improve their CPR skills, enhance their patient evacuation skills from the scene of an accident or injury, and to teach life saving techniques before getting the patient to the hospital.”
At the same time, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew further indicated that, “They are very excited about this course of training conducted by Matthew Rolph, a former paramedic from the United Kingdom and founder of EMS International. This next step of training will upgrade the basic and intermediate level EMTs to trained paramedics.”
Moreover, it is also mentioned that, the government of St Kitts and Nevis currently focuses on the health sector and are promoting the health services within the island nation.
