Shebekino, Belgorod Region, Russia — A Ukrainian attack on the southwestern Belgorod region of Russia resulted in one death and two injuries on Friday, according to local authorities.
The assault targeted the border town of Shebekino, which has experienced repeated shelling and drone strikes in recent days.
The fatality occurred when a man succumbed to injuries while being transported to a hospital. Vladimir Zhdanov, head of the Shebekino municipal district, reported the death on Telegram, stating, “A man died in an ambulance while on the way to the hospital.”
The attack also caused significant damage to the local infrastructure, with nine apartment buildings, 18 houses, and 10 vehicles reported as damaged.
In a separate incident earlier on Friday, Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed that four drones struck an apartment building in Shebekino.
